Blackberry 9320 emerges

As per usual we’ve got our finger right on the pulse to provide you with the very latest on the newest release from the Blackberry stable – the Blackberry 9320. You’ll have already heard how it is heading for a release in India, and pretty much resembles every other Blackberry Curve we’ve ever seen.

Blackberry 9320

Blackberry 9320

This low-end entry level Smartphone briefly popped its head above the parapet when T-Mobile accidentally posted the Blackberry Curve specifications on its ‘coming soon’ page. Needless to say, T-Mobile acted pretty sharpish to remove it as soon as the error was realised. However, the leak was already widely reported on the internet. So with the cat firmly out of the bag, we can confirm that the Blackberry 9320 will be available to buy both on Pay as you go and Pay Monthly from 8th May.

As a quick low-down we can reveal that the Blackberry 9320, may not be leading a revolution in the specification stakes, but it does have one cool addition of the BBM button on the left hand side of the chassis for easy access to Blackberry Messenger. It’s also been tipped that it will come in a stylish slim design, with the standard optical track pad and the ubiquitous QWERTY keyboard that all Blackberry aficionados know and love. It comes with a slightly uninspiring 3.2 megapixel rear mounted x 4 digital zoom camera. The device comes running with Blackberry OS 7.1 and an ample single core processor, 512MB of RAM and a micro SD slot to give you up to 32GB of memory.

Overall, we wouldn’t expect anyone to be blown away by the Blackberry 9320, but that said it’s certainly a good bit of kit at a reasonable price for first-time Smartphone users in emerging markets.

To make full use of your BlackBerry you need to make sure you get a BlackBerry contract.  These contracts give you access to BlackBerry email, BlackBerry messenger, etc.  Although the phone will work on a normal contract you won’t have access to those features.  When you look at a provider’s list of available Sim Only deals you will see a BlackBerry logo next to those that are compatible.  BlackBerry phone use a micro Sim as opposed to a standard Sim.  When you get a BlackBerry contract you will receive the correct sized Sim card.

You probably already have an existing phone contract.  If you are planning to move from one provider to another you don’t need to worry about changing your number.  Simply request a PAC code from your current provider.  When you receive this code pass it on to you new provider.  In no time you’ll be up and running and you don’t need to worry about telling all your family / friend and colleagues that you have a new number.

Buy the BlackBerry Bold 9900

RIM have long since built a sturdy reputation for being the must have smartphone range for business users. Now we’ve spent some quality time with the Blackberry Bold 9900 we thought we’d share our impressions with you.

Blackberry phones have always stood for supreme functionality over stylishness. They’ve long been the benchmark for the best in sturdy, reliable and certainly smart handsets. However, this has all changed significantly with the Blackberry Bold 9900. Whilst RIM has stuck to their tried and tested half screen, half keyboard layout, they’ve been very savvy about refining their design formula. One distinct improvement is that they’ve finally done away with the dodgy plastic faux leather back cover. With the new brushed metal casing and superior quality matte plastic, the Blackberry Bold 9900 is now much more iPhone-esque in terms of style.

White Blackberry Bold 9900

The Blackberry Bold 9900 is slimmer and wider than any of its predecessors, which lends it a much more premium hew. And to top that the Blackberry Bold also comes in a stunning white, which with the dark metallic sides only adds to its slick sophistication.

The white version is already available on O2, Vodafone and Orange and T-Mobile in the UK. Vodafone have pulled together a particularly good deal offering a free Blackberry Bold 9900 on a £39 a month tariff with 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and lumped in with 750 MB of data on a 24 month contract. Orange offers a similar deal with extra 1200 minutes and unlimited texts also for a 24 month contract on Dolphin. But with only 250MB of data you might find this gets gobbled up pretty quickly, and you get landed with some pretty hefty charges.

If you prefer to pay less each month you can get 500 minutes, unlimited texts and an ample 500MB of data for £26 a month for 24 months on Vodafone. However, you’ll need to be prepared to stump up £299 to buy the Blackberry Bold 9900 up front if you want to take advantage of this one.

One other thing to bear in mind though if you want to buy a Blackberry Bold 9900 is that Vodafone also offer a 3 months free data test drive. This is really handy if this is your first dive into the smartphone foray and you have no idea of how much data you are likely to use. At the end of the free 3 month period Vodafone will tell you the best data plan to buy with your Blackberry Bold 9900.

We reckon that’s a great incentive to get you going with a Blackberry Bold 9900. Let us know if you hear of any other great offers and we’ll share them here.

BlackBerry 9900

We were very excited to briefly get our hands on a pre-test model of the new Blackberry bold 9900 aka the blackberry 9900 touch and we put if through the mill. We hope to answer all your questions but if there is anything we missed leave a question/comment at the bottom.

Blackberry 9900

Even for a pre-test model, we were impressed. The BlackBerry 9900 is loaded with incredible power and performance with its 1.2GHz processor and an expandable memory of 8GB. The Blackberry 9900 truly is a high end and high performance phone. RIM have claimed that the BlackBerry 9900 is its thinnest and sleekest BlackBerry yet and we must admit, it is nice and thin and fits really comfortably in your hand. Not only this, but you can get it free on a pay monthly contract with most network providers on a selection of Blackberry 9900 deals.

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 not only comes with a full QWERTY keyboard perfect your social and business needs but it also comes with a more than sufficient 2.8 inch touchscreen with a touch screen keyboard, so you can choose how you want to communicate. It’s just great, we couldn’t put it down and to0 be honest, we actually preferred the BlackBerry 9900 to the Torch, just don’t tell BlackBerry!

So what features can you expect to see if you buy Blackberry 9900? Well, RIM has now done some more work on their OS. With the Torch came OS6 but now the new BlackBerry 9900 sports the new OS7. However, the new OS, as far as we can see, didn’t offer much more than OS6! There were of course a few minor improvements but we think RIM are just getting started with their OS overhaul. One very cool new feature is that OS7 is linked directly with BlackBerry Maps, which provides immediate access to location based services (LBS). Between you and us though, it should have been called OS6.1 because the update was not hugely significant.

The Blackberry 9900 also comes with Near Field Communications (NFC), providing you with the opportunity to make payments and even redeem coupons, all with just a swipe of your BlackBerry 9900 – How cool is that? It gives a new meaning to the words Pay as you Go!

Demand for the Blackberry 9900 has certainly been high since it was released and the success of RIM’s 9900 has been as huge as we had anticipated, after all it is a fantastic device. The Blackberry 9900 was so popular that it was snapped up rapidly after its release and before long became out of stock on most of the major network providers websites. The Blackberry 9900 continues to be one of the most sought after Blackberry’s currently on the market and rest assured the 9900 is back in stock and available from all the main UK networks.

Below we have picked some key features to share with you which we hope will provide you with the knowledge before making the final decision on buying your next Blackberry phone.

In today’s modern world of social networking and keeping in touch through digital means, it’s worth knowing that all BlackBerry phones come with a BBM application (pre-installed or for download). You can invite your friends using your BlackBerry 9900 messenger, either by their using their BlackBerry Pin (BlackBerry Pin is the id of a BlackBerry like a serial number) or via e-mail or even from your contacts. Well you can change your home-screen and backgrounds, icons and menus, animations and screen movement and sound effects and ringtones.

BlackBerry 9900 – Camera

The new BlackBerry 9900 comes with a 5mp camera which also supports 720p HD video recording as well as image stabilisation. We thought it was about time they upgraded the camera. Although the previous Blackberry Bolds have been classed as business devices, so cameras weren’t a priority. Now Blackberry are realising that customers want to use their phones for more than just business and so the 5mp camera is a welcomed improvement.
